Another fantastic match for the support on the sidelines to watch! Once again there was fantastic support for Quins from the sidelines and there support was certainly felt by those on the pitch!
Keynsham started off the quickest dotting down straight from kick off. A short while later Lee Pearn burst through the midfield to score his first of four tries of the afternoon. With Chris Page adding the conversion Quins took the lead! Keynsham then hit back with two trys of their own, one they were forced out wide the other after after some great team passing. A red card then followed for Quins' Tommy Gustafson following a scuffle after Keynsham's 3rd try. All this in the opening 10 minutes of the match! Quins quickly re grouped and muscled their way over the whitewash with Chris Page dotting down and then converting his own try. Quins' pack once again overpowered Keynsham's and we went over to level the match with James Woodman getting the score on the back of the driving maul! Keynsham then kick a penalty to re take the lead. It was Lee Pearn once again who raced through the midfield to pounce on a loose ball and run it in under the posts with Chris Page adding the extras to ensure the Quins went in 22-26 up at half time, not before Keynsham had a player sent to the bin for pulling down the maul.
The second half saw Quins score again. Once again our pack proved too much for Keynsham to handle with Lee Pearn, playing at number 8 dotting down from the back on the scrum to collect his hat trick! Keynsham then hit back with another two tries, both times forced out wide by Quins. The Quins pack once again got points on the board after 5 penalties conceded by Keynsham at scrum time the ref had no choice but to go under the sticks and award a penalty try with another Keynsham player going to the bin! Kensham regained the lead with a penalty of their own. With 10 minutes left to play Lee Pearn grabbed his fourth of the match! Quins were then reduced to 13 men with Kane Burchill sent to the bin after Quins gave away 4 penalties in the red zone! But even being 2 men down Keynsham couldn't handle our pack and from another driving maul it was club captain Daniel Pearce who dotting down to ensure the match finished Keynsham 39 Bristol Harlequins 50!
