A fantastic result with Quins bouncing back from the defeat against Old Sulians!
It took just 10 minutes for Quins to score after dominating possession it was another try from a rolling maul, this time it was Max Hickes chasing his own throw round to get to the back and drive over for his first Quins try! A few moments later David Priddy extended Quins' lead with a penalty kick. Clevedon then scored with a driving maul of their own. Only for Quins to win back possession from the resulting kick off and Chris Chickwanah with a great line, bumped of two defenders to score! 5 minutes later Clevedon crossed again, Quins made to pay for missing tackles out wide. But just 4 minutes later Quins' advantage was restored with David Young showing great hands to keep the ball and dot down over the line!
The second half saw Quins dominate possession but Clevedon defended well but saw two players sent to the bin, one for a high tackle and one for a vicious no arms hit on Kane Burchill. After this the flood gates opened and Quins scored 3 tries in 10 minutes to seal the win and the bonus points! First across was Lee Pearn, doing what Lee Pearn does best, smashing his way through the midfield to score. Next across was Brandon West-Ford, Quins pounced on a loose ball after a kick through and Brandon remained strong to ride the tackle and dot the ball down. The final try came courtesy of a botched Clevedon line out inside their own 22 with Paul Martin jumping on the loose ball to score his first try for Quins!
A fantastic match to watch and Quins fought hard and deserved their victory!
