Another bonus point victory for Quins getting their own back on a Gordano side who came to Valhalla and beat us in our own back yard earlier in the season.
The match didn't get off to a great start with Gordano scoring via a driving maul after 15 minutes. Another 20 minutes went by and Quins' hard work started to pay off. Max Hickes overthrew at the line out but captain Daniel Pearce was alert and plucked the ball out of the air and slipped through the Gordano defence to score! Just 5 minutes later Quins had the lead! The ball worked out wide to winger Christie Maclaurin fending off two defenders to run through and score meaning Quins ended the half on top.
The second half took a while to spring into life and it took something speical from Kane Burchill, picking up from the back of a ruck and sliding through a gap that wasn't really there to run in from just inside the 22 to score under the posts - the less said about his conversion attempt after the better! However he made up for his conversion miss by once again finding a gap that wasn't there beating three defenders, including the same one twice to score out wide, kicking duties handed over to Chris Chickwanah who slotted cooly right down the middle!
A huge bonus point win on the road helping to keep Keynsham at bay as they hammered Bristol Telephone Area coincidently Keynsham are the next visotors to Valhalla in the new year!
