A great result to kick start the year in challenging conditions! The rain had poured all week and continued throughout the day with the match given the nod just 4 hours before kick off!

Despite the trying conditions Quins scored early. A line out on the Keynsham 22 leading to a ferocious attack from the Quins pack, picking up two penalty advantages, Quins opted to go for the corner. Once again Quins' power upfront was too much for Keynsham to handle with club captain, Daniel Pearce, sponsored by Window to the Womb Bristol, scoring after just 5 minutes, Chris Page, sponsored by Avon Clean Care, converted, on his way to a 100% day! As the conditions worsened it was Quins who scored again. A scrum 5 metres out being pushed over with scrum half, Kane Burchill, sponsored by Whos This Guy?, dropping on top of the loose ball. With just 2 minutes to go till half time Keynsham pulled one back as Quins were made to pay for missed tackles in the midfield as Keynsham worked the ball wide, Lee Pearn, sponsored by S. J. Martin Plastering, thought he had done enough with a great tap tackle put the Keynsham winger managed to stumble and slide over the line.

As the rain continued to pour down it didn't make for attractive rugby but once again it was the Quins pack forcing themselves over to score with David Young, sponsored by J-DEK, going over. The rest of the match played out in midfield as both sides were on the hunt for a bonus point. With the last play of the game it was Keynsham who got it showing great determination to get the ball over the line for the loosing bonus point.

A wet and cold day at Valhalla but nethertheless a great close game of Rugby a proper derby match!
