Bristol Harlequins RFC recently held its Annual General Meeting (AGM), marking an important moment to reflect on the dedication of our volunteers and to welcome new faces into key roles that help keep our club thriving both on and off the pitch.

Firstly, we would like to extend our sincerest thanks to everyone stepping down from their positions this year, especially Louise Braithwaite and Kelly Britt. Louise and Kelly have given many years of tireless service in vital roles including Safeguarding Officer, Minis Lead, and Junior Lead. Their passion and commitment have helped shape the inclusive, safe, and family-friendly club environment we’re so proud of today.

While Louise takes a well-earned rest from committee duties, we’re delighted to announce that Kelly Britt remains a key part of the club’s future, having been elected as our new Vice-Chairperson.

We’re also pleased to welcome several new appointments following the AGM:

  • Scott Flanigan joins as Minis Lead and will also take on the role of Coaching Coordinator, bringing fresh ideas to develop our youngest players.

  • Kirsty Walker becomes our new Junior Lead and will also share the responsibilities of Coaching Coordinator, supporting the growth and progress of our junior teams.

  • Stacey Skuse takes on the newly established position of Girls Lead, highlighting our commitment to growing girls’ rugby. Stacey will also share duties as Safeguarding Officer and RugbySafe Lead alongside Amy Newman, further strengthening our dedication to player welfare and safety.

  • Gary Britt remains in his role as Club Captain, offering continuity and leadership for the season ahead.

  • Lee Pearn has been voted in as Vice-Captain, bringing his experience and energy to support the senior team.

  • Paul Martin joins the team as Facilities Manager, ensuring our club’s grounds and facilities are kept to the high standard our players and supporters deserve.

All remaining committee roles will be finalised and confirmed at the next General Committee Meeting, which is scheduled for Monday, 4th August.

We would once again like to express our gratitude to those who have contributed so much over the past years and offer a warm welcome to our new committee members. Together, we look forward to another successful season for everyone at Quins, from our youngest Minis to our senior sides and supporters.
