Bristol Harlequins RFC is excited to announce that we are now recruiting for a Head Coach to lead our senior squad into the 2025/26 season and beyond.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, motivated and passionate coach to join a proud, community-driven club with big ambitions. Based in Brislington, South Bristol, the Harlequins have a long-standing presence in grassroots rugby and are looking for a leader to take us to the next level both on and off the field.
The successful candidate will take charge of training and matchday coaching, working closely with the Club Captain and Team Manager (if appointed), while helping shape the future of our playing squad and club culture. You’ll be supported by an engaged committee and be empowered to build your coaching team within an agreed budget.
This is a paid, self-employed role, with sessions invoiced monthly. The contract runs for one season, with a review three-quarters of the way through and the potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Leading 1–2 training sessions per week (Tuesdays and/or Thursdays)
- Coaching and supporting the team on matchdays
- Attending one committee meeting per quarter
- Implementing a clear coaching and playing philosophy
- Appointing assistant coaches within budget
- Promoting a player-centred, inclusive approach to rugby
We’re looking for someone with a real passion for the game, excellent communication and leadership skills, and a commitment to player development and team culture. An RFU Coaching Award and enhanced DBS check will be required (or willingness to obtain them).
Applications are open now and close on May 31st, 2025.
