Derby Day Double Header at Valhalla

Today sees Bristol Harlequins RFC host a huge derby day double header at Valhalla, with both the First XV and Second XV in action against local opposition. The First XV welcome Old Redcliffians III for the first derby meeting of the season. With less than a mile separating Valhalla from Scotland Lane, these fixtures are always fiercely contested and played with real local pride. The match is proudly sponsored by Bristol Scrap Metal. The Second XV also defend home turf as they take on St Bernadette’s Old Boys. Another local derby, another opportunity for the Quins to show their strength at home and build momentum as the season progresses. With two derby matches back-to-back, the stage is set for a big afternoon of rugby, atmosphere and community at Valhalla. Players, coaches and supporters alike know what these fixtures mean, and the club is calling on the blue, black and white faithful to get down early, make some noise and back both sides.
