Bristol Harlequins RFC are gearing up for a huge weekend as both the First XV and Second XV prepare for derby clashes against local rivals. With short distances between all three clubs involved, Saturday promises intensity, passion and plenty of Blue, Black and White pride.
First XV Host Old Redcliffians III at Valhalla
Our First XV return home to Valhalla for what is set to be the first local derby of the season against Old Redcliffians III.
Separated by less than a mile, this fixture brings together two clubs with long-standing Bristol rugby heritage, and the closeness of the grounds always adds an extra layer of bite to the contest.
The match is proudly sponsored by Bristol Scrap Metal, whose support continues to strengthen community rugby across the city.
Kick-off is scheduled for 14:30, and with a derby on home soil, we encourage all supporters, families and friends to come down, wear the colours, and help create the Valhalla atmosphere our players thrive on.
Second XV Travel to St Bernadette’s Old Boys
The Second XV also face derby action as they make the short 10-minute journey to Fulford Road, the new home of St Bernadette’s Old Boys.
A brand-new ground brings fresh challenges, but our IIs have shown resilience and momentum throughout the season. This fixture presents a great opportunity to make a statement away from home and continue building on strong squad performances.
Kick-off is also set for 14:30.
A Big Day for the Club
With both sides involved in local derbies, Saturday marks one of the biggest days of the season so far. Two squads, one badge, and a chance to show the commitment and spirit that defines Bristol Harlequins RFC.
Whether you’re heading to Valhalla or travelling to Fulford Road, your support makes all the difference.
