Match Report: Old Redcliffians 53 - Bristol Harlequins 0

Try(s):

Conversion(s):

Despite the heavy scoreline, this was an enthralling contest, with both sides grateful to have a game after their league fixtures were cancelled. From the outset, Old Redcliffians showed their dominance, but Bristol Harlequins made them work for every point, forcing them to attack out wide rather than through the middle.

Midway through the first half, Quins suffered a blow when prop Dean Jones was forced off with a knee injury. However, in the spirit of the game, Old Reds generously loaned a player, allowing the match to continue with both teams fielding 14 players.

Quins pushed hard and came agonisingly close on several occasions to crossing the try line, but the Old Reds' defence held firm. Despite the pressure, the Reds' defence remained unbroken.

The match was played in fantastic spirits, with smiles all around before, during, and after the contest. Both teams demonstrated true rugby camaraderie, making for a highly enjoyable fixture regardless of the result.

A big thanks to Old Redcliffians for hosting the game and helping to keep the spirit of rugby alive!
