Statement from the RFU

The wake of the passing of h=Her Majesty the Queen the RFU have released the following statement;

It is with the deepest sadness that we share the following statement with you today (Thursday 08th September):

"On behalf of the rugby community in England, all at the Rugby Football Union ar every sadded to hear of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and offer our condolences to the whole of the Royal Family at this time.

We understand that you will have questions around planned fixtures this weekend. We are in communication in the Depertment for Digitial, Culture, Media and Sport (DMCS) and are expecting gudiande from them to review this evening for sporting orgianistions. We will share an update with the game tomorrow (Friday 09th September) to confirm protocols with regards to scheduled fixtures.

Our thoughts and prayers remain with the Royal Family.
